Wellington Street in front of the Parliament buildings was blocked in all four lanes. Row upon row of tractors filled the street.

The signs of the Rural Revolution were everywhere. City people were drawn at first by curiosity for many had never seen the farming community up-close and personal.

Many stayed to hear the message. Many donated to the cause once they understood the grievous situation faced by their rural neighbours. Many of them took signs back to their government or company offices. Right on!
